Cookie Policy

Last updated: [05/08/2026]

This policy explains how Ludora Games uses cookies and similar technologies on ludoragames.com, and how you can control them.

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They let a site remember your actions and preferences, and help us understand how the site is used. We also use similar technologies such as pixels, tags and local storage — this policy covers all of them.

2. Your consent

When you first visit our site you'll see a cookie banner. Only strictly necessary cookies are set before you make a choice. Everything else — analytics, session recording and advertising — is only set once you've given consent.

You can change or withdraw your consent at any time via the cookie settings link in our footer.

3. The cookies we use

Strictly necessary (no consent required)

These make the site work. They keep your basket contents, remember your login, process your payment securely and protect against fraud. Set by Shopify, our payment providers (Shopify Payments, PayPal) and our cookie consent tool. The site can't function without them.

Analytics and performance (consent required)

These tell us how people find and use the site, so we can improve it.

Tool What it does
Google Analytics 4 Visitor numbers, traffic sources, pages viewed, purchases
Shopify Analytics Store performance and sales reporting

Session recording and heatmaps (consent required)

These record how visitors move through pages — clicks, scrolling and mouse movement — so we can see where the site is confusing. Recordings are pseudonymised and we configure these tools to mask text entered into forms, including names, addresses and payment details.

Tool What it does
Hotjar Heatmaps and session recordings
Lucky Orange Heatmaps and session recordings
Microsoft Clarity Heatmaps and session recordings

Advertising and marketing (consent required)

These let us measure whether our ads work and show relevant ads to people who've visited us.

Tool What it does
Meta Pixel (Facebook/Instagram) Measures ad performance, builds audiences, shows retargeting ads
Google Ads Conversion tracking and remarketing
Klaviyo Recognises subscribers, tracks email opens and clicks, and links them to site activity

Automation

We use Zapier to pass data between the tools above. Zapier doesn't set cookies on your device but does process data collected by them.

4. Third-party data

The providers above are independent data controllers or processors and handle data under their own policies:

  • Google: policies.google.com/privacy
  • Meta: facebook.com/privacy/policy
  • Microsoft: privacy.microsoft.com
  • Shopify: shopify.com/legal/privacy

Some of these transfer data outside the UK and EEA. Where they do, transfers are covered by the UK International Data Transfer Addendum, Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision.

5. How long cookies last

Session cookies are deleted when you close your browser. Persistent cookies stay on your device for a set period — typically from a few days up to 24 months, depending on the provider. Advertising cookies generally last longest.

6. Managing cookies

Beyond our banner, you can:

  • Block or delete cookies in your browser settings (this may break parts of the site)
  • Opt out of Google Analytics at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout
  • Manage ad preferences in your Facebook and Google account settings
  • Turn on Do Not Track in your browser, though not all providers honour it
